Quick answers from the field.
GeoCam works without an account and keeps your photos and locations on your phone. These answers cover the most common questions.
The location is inaccurate or slow to appear.
Step outside or near a window and give GPS a few seconds; the accuracy chip on the viewfinder turns from Poor to Good or Excellent as the fix improves. On iPhone, check that Settings > GeoCam by Tathya > Location is set to While Using the App with Precise Location on.
The stamp shows coordinates but no address.
Addresses come from your phone's built-in geocoder, which needs an internet connection. Without one, GeoCam still stamps coordinates, time and accuracy, and fills in the address once it can look it up.
Why is the map on Android a simple drawing?
On iPhone, the stamp uses an Apple Maps thumbnail. On Android, GeoCam draws a simple map graphic on your phone instead of using an online map service. Coordinates, address and the other details are the same.
My photos aren't in the GeoCam album.
GeoCam needs permission to add photos to your library. Check Settings in the app, or your phone's settings for GeoCam by Tathya > Photos. If access is off, the photo is still saved in GeoCam's own gallery and the app shows a warning.
What are Plus Code and DIGIPIN?
Both are short codes for a location. A Plus Code works anywhere in the world; DIGIPIN is India Post's national digital address grid and covers India. GeoCam calculates both on your phone, even offline.
How do I export a log of my photos?
Open Projects and export a project's CSV log, or use Settings > Export photo log (CSV) for all photos. The file includes file names, date and time, coordinates, accuracy, altitude, heading, address and notes, and opens in Excel or Google Sheets.
How do I delete my data?
Open a photo to delete it from GeoCam only or from Photos too. Settings > Delete all data removes the gallery, projects, settings and your logo from the app, and can also delete GeoCam's photos from Photos if you choose.
Still need help?
Tell us your phone model, its iOS or Android version, the app version and what you were trying to do. Please don't send photos that show your location unless we ask.
