Your money stays yours.
Tathya Money is designed as a local-first personal-finance tracker. This policy explains what stays on your device, what leaves only when you choose, and the limited technical information the app sends so we can fix crashes and improve it.

Financial records stay on your device
Accounts, balances, transactions, notes, categories, budgets, recurring items, savings goals, reconciliation history and net-worth snapshots are stored in the app's private storage on your device. TathyaLabs does not receive, upload or sync that information in this version.
Tathya Money does not require a Tathya account or bank connection. It never asks for your bank username or password.
No advertising or tracking
- The app contains no advertising SDK and does not sell personal data.
- The app does not use cross-app tracking and does not collect an advertising identifier.
- The app does not send your financial records to TathyaLabs or to anyone else. The crash reports and usage statistics described below never include accounts, balances, transactions, notes or other records you enter.
Crash reports and usage statistics
To find and fix problems, and to understand which parts of the app are used, Tathya Money uses two Google services: Firebase Crashlytics and Google Analytics for Firebase. They receive technical information only, never your accounts, balances, transactions, notes, budgets, goals or other financial records.
- Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics): when the app crashes or hits an error, it sends the error message and where in the app's code it happened, together with the device model, iOS version, app version and similar technical state, such as free memory and disk space.
- Usage statistics (Google Analytics for Firebase): which screens are opened, when the app is opened and for how long, first launch and app updates, app version, device model, iOS version, language, and an approximate region worked out from your network address.
- Both services use random identifiers created for this installation of the app. They are not linked to your name, email address, bank or any account, and are not used to identify you.
- No advertising identifier is collected, Google's advertising features are switched off, and this information is not used for advertising or to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Google processes this information as our service provider and may do so in the United States or other countries. Crash reports are kept for 90 days and usage statistics for up to 14 months. You can read more in Google's Firebase privacy information.
Exports, backups and sharing
You can create CSV or encrypted backup files from Settings. These files leave the app only when you choose a destination in the system share sheet. Encrypted backups are protected on your device with a separately generated recovery key. TathyaLabs never receives and cannot recover that key.
A restored backup is read locally and replaces the active on-device ledger only after you review and confirm the import.
Widgets, notifications and device security
If you add the Money Pulse widget, a limited summary is shared between the app and its widget through Apple's private app-group storage on your device. Optional recurring reminders are scheduled locally by iOS. Face ID or device authentication can be used for app lock; Tathya Money does not receive biometric data.
Retention and deletion
Records remain on the current device until you replace or remove them, erase the app's data, or uninstall the app. Removing the app may permanently remove local records unless you exported a backup first.
Security and scope
Tathya Money uses operating-system protections for private app storage and app-group storage. It is a record-keeping and planning tool, not a bank, financial adviser, investment service or emergency-access system.
