Quick answers, then back to shooting.

The app works without an account and develops every photo on your phone. These answers cover the most common questions. Glowroll: Retro Film Camera on Google Play and Film by Tathya on the App Store are the same app, and this page covers both.

How do I change the film look?

Swipe the film strip on the camera screen and tap a film box. Touch and hold a film to pin it to the front. You can change the film of any print later in the editor.

Can I turn off the date stamp?

Yes. Settings sets the date stamp and its format for new prints, and the editor’s Effects turn the date on or off for a single print. Retro year can stamp 1998, 1999 or 2000 instead of the real year; only the stamp changes.

My prints aren’t in my Photos library.

On iPhone, allow Photos access for the app in Settings; prints go to the “Film by Tathya” album with full access. On Android, prints go to the “Glowroll” album (Pictures/Glowroll); Android 13 and later need no permission, and on Android 12 and older allow the storage permission for the app. Then use Save on a print or Save all prints to Photos in Settings. Each save tells you where the print went.

Can I re-edit a print?

Yes. The app keeps the original, so you can open any print, change its film, crop or adjustments, and develop it again.

How do I delete my data?

Settings › Delete all data removes every print, original and setting from the app. Prints you saved to Photos stay there.
