Quick answers, then back to the numbers.
The app works offline, without an account, and keeps everything on your phone. These answers cover the most common questions. Sumcraft: EMI, SIP & GST Calc on Google Play and Calc by Tathya on the App Store are the same app, and this page covers both.
How do the GST keys work?
On the Calculator tab, +GST adds GST to the number on the display and −GST takes it out of an inclusive price; a note shows the CGST and SGST split. Touch and hold either key to choose 5, 18 or 40%, 3% for gold, or any rate.
Is the PPF, SSY or Post Office rate current?
Each scheme starts with the rate for the quarter shown under the field, which is built into the app. Governments change these rates every quarter, so check the current rate and type it in if it has changed.
How is a result calculated?
Open How is this calculated? on any calculator to see the formula and the conventions it uses. Results are estimates, not financial advice.
How do I save or share a calculation?
Tap Save on a result to keep it in Saved. Share sends it as an image or text, and tables and schedules have Export CSV for a spreadsheet.
How do I move my saved calculations to a new phone?
On the old phone, open Settings and export a backup, then send the file to yourself. On the new phone, import it from Settings and choose Merge to keep what is there or Replace to swap everything in.
How do I delete my data?
Open Settings and tap Delete all data. Saved calculations, history, memory and settings are erased from your phone. Deleting the app does the same.
