How do I get a PDF under an upload limit?
Open Compress PDF and choose To a size, then pick the limit (for example 200 KB). The app keeps the best quality that fits. If the file can’t fit, it says how close it got and offers Remove pages, Split PDF or Grayscale PDF.
OCR says it needs the internet.
The first time you use OCR, the app downloads its text-recognition engine and the language pack you picked. Connect to the internet once and try again; after that it normally works offline. Nothing of yours is uploaded.
How do I scan a document?
Use Scan to PDF. On iPhone it opens Apple’s document camera; on Android it opens Google’s document scanner from Google Play services, which may need to finish downloading the first time.
Can I open PDFs from other apps?
Yes. Share a PDF or images to the app from Files, Mail, WhatsApp or any app with a share button, or choose the app in “Open with”. The file is copied into the app’s Files tab.
How do I sign a PDF?
Open Sign PDF, draw, type or photograph your signature and initials (the last three are kept on this phone), then place them, the date, text or tick marks on any page.
I deleted a file by mistake.
Open Files › Recently deleted and restore it. Files stay there for 30 days unless you empty it.
How do I delete everything?
In Files, tap Select › Select all › Delete, then open Recently deleted and tap Empty. Settings › Storage › Clear temporary files removes temporary copies. Deleting the app removes everything.
